Monday, September 15, 2008It’s been described by one commentator as an example of Great Britain ‘surrendering’ itself and the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams was criticised for saying it will happen, but whatever the reaction, Islamic law now officially operates in the UK.
Whereas before rulings by sharia courts in Britain could only be enforced if all parties in a Muslim civil case agreed to abide by them, now what the courts say will be legally binding, backed by county courts or the High Court.
The five sharia courts are Birmingham, Bradford, London and Manchester with others planned for Glasgow and Edinburgh. They will be run by the Muslim Arbitration Tribunal whose Sheikh Faiz-ul-Aqtab Siddiqi said: "We realised that under the Arbitration Act [1996] we can make rulings which can be enforced by county and high courts. The act allows disputes to be resolved using alternatives like tribunals."
Muslim tribunal courts have been running since August 2007, hearing cases of divorce, domestic violence and much more. Jewish Beth Din courts have been in the UK for over 100 years.
However, Siddiqi admitted that the courts can favour men, with several cases of domestic violence ending with husbands receiving little punishment other than being made to take an anger management course. In every case, the women later withdrew their claims.
Tory shadow Home Secretary Dominic Grieve was amazed that sharia law had been made legally binding. "If it is true that these tribunals are passing binding decisions in the areas of family and criminal law, I would like to know which courts are enforcing them because I would consider such action unlawful. British law is absolute and must remain so."
And Douglas Murray, the director of the Centre for Social Cohesion, said: "I think it’s appalling. I don’t think arbitration that is done by sharia should ever be endorsed or enforced by the British state."
This seems to me a very dangerous step.

Even OUR (USA) law is greatly based on your English Common Law. You have been a traitor not only to your own country, to the USA also, but to the IDEA of Law.

I wish it were possible to vent my absolute rage at you for allowing this to happen. Certainly, you deserve a punishment for having done so, and, frankly I'm sorry to say so, but you will receive that punishment. You'll receive it from the very Sharia Law which you have assisted in becoming legal. Remember that, when the Freedoms you have are taken away by Sharia and its insane system.
Sharia will ooze its way, sneak its way, and, by your giving it strength, it will be emboldenned to become legally binding in USA also. It is already TRYING.
How dare you allow them to do this! How dare you give them (the Islamists) ONE MORE step up the ladder to taking over your country, and ours also.

In Islam a woman has no financial obligation and the economical responsibility lies on the shoulders of the man. Before a woman is married it is the duty of the father or brother to look after the lodging, boarding, clothing and other financial requirements of the woman. After she is married it is the duty of the husband or the son. Islam holds the man financially responsible for fulfilling the needs of his family. In order to do be able to fulfill the responsibility the men get double the share of the inheritance. For example, if a man dies and after giving the shares of other relatives, if the children (i.e one son and one daughter) inherit Rs. One Hundred and Fifty Thousand, the son will inherit One Hundred Thousand rupees and the daughter only Fifty Thousand rupees. Out of the one hundred thousand which the son inherits, as his duty towards his family, he may have to spend on them almost the entire amount or say about eighty thousand and thus he has a small percentage of inheritance, say about twenty thousand, left for himself. On the other hand, the daughter, who inherits fifty thousand, is not bound to spend a single penny on anybody. She can keep the entire amount for herself. Would you prefer inheriting one hundred thousand rupees and spending eighty thousand from it, or inheriting fifty thousand rupees and having the entire amount to yourself?

Sharia law has no place in the West, but it is the muslims good fortune that at this point in history most Western infidels are too ignorant, apathetic and blind to history to notice what's going on. If they did there would be riots.
If I was a muslim, I'd be feeling very confident right now.

There are many points of view in the UK but there can only be one legal view and that is the Britsih State Law. For example; for a murder, the victims family and everybody in the local neigbourhood may believe in capital punishment - but they cannot insist on this - it has to be subject to state law - which is liekely to be 'life' or 25 years.

I am saddened that Sharia Law has become a hidden reality in the UK. Why are we trying to be a nation that appeases all our critics? We must stop and question the essence of being British. Whatever happened to our Christian roots?

A sad day indeed....never thought I'd see it happen....Dhimmitude overtakes Briton. But then again, I remember seeing Britons standing in lines to turn in their guns. The slow creep of police state mentality has crept over the land. People jailed for self defense in their homes... fines for letting a car idle... crime and thuggery run amuk... cameras everywhere... now they're talking about satelite speed control for autos... Insane... Any Brit worth his salt should emigrate to the US or down to Oz... You dont have the politcal clout to stamp this out....better get out while you can... I predict dark days ahead...
